Jun 21/13 A Beautiful Summer Solstice

It is a glorious sun filled hot day. The Longest day of the year and so gorgeous. The Universe is being so incredibly kind to me. This holiday has be so much fun and happy for me I'm just bursting with gratitude. A busy morning but a good morning shopping and visiting ML's mom. We picked up some wine to take to my husbands tonight for a good old fashioned BBQ out on his beautiful screened in porch. I even bought myself one of those 2oz bottles of rye which I used to drink a long time ago. So now we are back at ML's for a much needed rest for both of us Dinner was just being served up when My Ex got paged out to a car accident (he's volunteer 1st response firefighter). We just continued on with my beautiful gentle son stepping right in to keep things going nicely. My Ex returned about an hour later (the accident wasn't a bad one thank God) so we went out on the screened in portion the deck) and had a wonderful time. My son a few friends from his work over for beers and a bonfire so the two generations had lots of space for two parties. I was nice for me because the neighbors were having a quiet get together so I went over there since I hadn't seen them in a very long time as well. Just a typical Friday evening in the 'Harbour'. Good God I was just flooded with so many memories from a long ago past. I let my emotions overwhelm me a few times with flowing tears but thank goodness nobody noticed. We left around 10pm and headed up to the provincial park to my middle daughter before heading back to the ferry and the ride back. It was so beautiful and relaxing and just as we neared Aylmer we were blessed with some very colourful fireworks lighting up the sky as it is St. Jean Baptiste day in Quebec. Always precedes Canada Day (July 1st) which is Celebrated in Ottawa at the Parliament Buildings drawing top Canadian Talent and Thousands and thousands of people. I use to go down there when I was younger but it is way to crowded for me now I just watch all the Celebrations on TV. The most magnificent fireworks are set off behind the Parliament building last least a half hour in duration. Simply incredible and awe inspiring. It's like the July 4th celebrations in the U.S. Anyway that was last night and now it's Saturday morning and I'm catching up on some much need rest...there is so much coming up over the next 3 days I need all the rest I can get. It's busy, it's wild, It's wonderful and I loving it all.....
