Jun 17/13 Having a fantastic time
I have been so darned busy since I arrived home and have wanted to keep a journal of it all. As it is turning out I've been so busy and tired I just can't get to it. To things more complicated and time consuming was the breaking of my upper denture. I've already had 3 visits to the dentist, 1 visit to the lab (which of course are on complete opposite ends of the city) and about 2-3 more appointments before the final plate is complete. Really starting to cramp my style here but have had to go totally toothless for only about 2 hrs this morning. My dentist is a wonderful gem and always was when I first journeyed down this path about 4 years ago. But this weekend she worked hard on her days off to co-ordinate everything to try and get everything needed completed before I have to head back home. She is a living angel in my life, I'm so very lucky to have found her.
So, since last Wednesday what have I done. Golly Where to begin.
- A lot of time over several days spent in a Dentists chair. No too fun !!!
- went to my old home saw my 2 younger kids and my Ex Husband. It was very emotional for me being back in my old home, seeing all the beautiful work he`s done to it. Fabulous work over the last 4 years basically rebuilding and renovating the entire house, both inside and outside. Massive work but incredible. He`s really become a master carpenter over the years. I feel apart and began quietly crying because I was so over whelmed with it all and seeing the kids and My Ex. I had to leave his massive workshop and go outside to get a grip on myself. <
- made it to the University and found seating to await the ceremonies. I have never felt so proud. She worked full time, school full time, had a very busy social life, travelled on business a lot and so much more over the last 5 or 6 years but she hung in there. Her smile told us all how proud she was that day
- Then off to see their new apartment with her boyfriend, eventual son-in-law for dinner
Finally they day ended with heading over to the Quebec side of the Ottawa River to my very near and dear friends home to stay for the next 2 weeks
- Went sailing Saturday afternoon on the Ottawa River. Conditions couldn`t have been more perfect. Four of us sailed for a couple of hours
- Sunday headed back to the house for a dinner with the kids, Paul, eventual son-in-law and his parents. Paul, as always, cooked a fabulous barbecued meal and baked to most tasty pies. It was a bit awkward at first but we got into a good groove and all relaxed during dinner. It was a very nice evening before heading back downtown, crossed the river and back all the way to my girlfriends ( a little over an hours drive each way)
- Today, up with the birds to head back over to Ottawa and west to my dentists office to get a mold taken from my broken denture, back across the City to the Labs. Had a 2 hour wait so went shopping, then back to labs. Old denture fixed but will break again real soon
- Finally back at my friends home exhausted and very low sugars
- It is about 2hrs later and my friend has crashed on the couch so I decided to catch up on some things
So stay tuned there lots more things happening this week. I just sure hope I can manage it all before my body caves on me. Love, Laugh and Live it all. I know I`ll not get back for another year. I`m loving every minute of every hour. Laughing so hard every day I almost start gagging. It`s all so Great. I am so grateful to so many friends and family for giving me the best vacation. I`m so indebted to their generosity and kindness I`m trying to think how I can possible ever repay them. Their all the BEST !!!
