Jun 26/13 Exhastion, Heat & Humidity Don;t Mix!

This was a very difficult day for me. We were out doing errands and things before heading over to get my upper denture at 3:30pm. As the afternoon progressed I got more tired, my joints ached and walking became more difficult. The denture needed more repairs so will have to come back tomorrow. I was fading real fast and need my Friends shoulder to just walk. We went over to my moms home she grew up in and had her wedding reception in 59 years ago. I hadn't seen it in over 50yrs so ML took a picture of me standing in front of the house to take home and show my Mom. She'll be tickled pink that I got the picture. My grandfather build 3 homes on that street as the family got to be more kids before and after the 2nd W.W. It's in a very trendy and very expensive neighborhood now but back them there weren't many houses and it was way out of town (Ottawa) in the country at the end of the street car line. Wow have times ever changed during my parents generation. My mom is 81 and my dad is 85 now. We headed home, picked up a bite to eat and ML had to help me pack and get ready to leave the next morning......I can't even begin to say how much I've appreciated ML for taking care of me when the MS got bad or the Diabetes played havoc with my system....Grateful I am but lt does not do justice to what I feel for this woman, friend, once upon a time room mate some 30+ yrs ago. We are 2 extremely different people in character and disposition, very much like the 'odd' couple. But something clicked way back when and we've seen each other thru thick and thin. gotten extremely angry and upset with each other, had and raised 5 children together, she's travelled the world yet still we remain friends, It's been an amazing journey. Now in our mid 50s we each are suffering from pretty detrimental Chronic illnesses and we laugh all the time when we take the time out to compare notes on each other. I'm lucky, I love her like a sister and when we parted today we both had tears in our eyes, a kiss on each others cheek, and the tightest hugs for each other. I am so blessed and so grateful to that woman I proudly call my friend !!!
