Woke before alarm went off. Out of bed by 6am to get ready for Diabetic appointment at 10am up at the hospital. A very cool morning not much higher than 0. Packed up with flannel shirt, hoodie sweat shirt, leather jacket, gloves, and beach towel and headed off about 9am. Little chat with Kris this morning and read a passage she posted regarding Friends during difficult times. Really well written and thoughtful. She indicated she woke up in a very reflective mood.
The diabetic appointment went well. Had to make a few adjustments to the pump and reviewed a couple of things she wants me to be more conscious about. All and all my HbAqc reading was in a good range so I'm very happy with everything on this front.
Dropped into the Housing office on way home and found out there's the Housing Committee Meeting at 2pm this afternoon so hope to attend for at least some of it. I have to head to mom and dad's no later than 3:15 as they expect me by 4pm for dinner in the dinning room,.
I left the Housing meeting about 3:2o to head to Mom and Dads. After initial upsetting episode with Mom and Dad things calmed down and it was very nice visit and dinner in the dinning room. I enjoyed it very much but headed home after super. I got back and am now relaxing and attempting to contact Kris. I think she has a meeting at CSL tonight but not sure. She'll contact me if/when she has time later.
When it rains it pours. Very busy day today with nothing schedule until Friday afternoon to volunteer up at the hospital. Oh well, just hope the weather is good so I can get out and do a little shopping tomorrow sometime.
I am grateful for this busy day and the various things I got done. I'm grateful for making it over for dinner with Mom and Dad. Tomorrow sometime I'll finish my cigarettes and put the patch on. I am asking the Universe to help me with this challenge and help me maintain my conviction to get stopped once again as I did for almost a year. I have faith. I am determined. And Yes I am very sick of this filthy horrible addiction
