My own special thanksgiving

Even though it's the American Thanksgiving today it kind of feels like somewhat of a thanksgiving for me. Today, I've taken one more step towards taking back control of my finances. I already have started  maintaining and controlling a savings account for gifts & travel to see my kids but another account to manage my bi-weekly funding for day-to-day living. Once I prove myself with this responsibility who knows what the next step will bring. With each of these milestones being both reached and surpased my confidence and self-esteem just flies. Again, none of us (familly, friends, Doctors, me) ever thought I'd be able to reach this wonderful independance that was soooo taken for granted before all the illnesses and challenges started. I am proud of where I am and certainly anticipating a continuation on this glorious path. I'm happy, almost giddy with my life these days and especially with this long Indian Summer that is unfortuneatly just ending. Oh but so glorious while it lasted....tomorrow is yet another day of Volunteerism at the Hospital and I'm looking forward to it....
