Aug.14/13 Nothing like a little Sunshine and slightly warmer weather for a better day
Woke up around 3:30 this morning and couldn't fall back to sleep. I got up, had a cigarette and went back to bed and read. I finally feel back to sleep and finally got up around 8 which was a much more manageable time for me. I watched a really funny movie my daughter had send me and was totally engrossed and laughed for a good hour and a half. I needed these laughs so much as there have not been many occasions during the last 4 or 5 days. Then I took myself out on my Scooter for some much needed sun rays and fresh Air. I had no purpose in mind but ended up at my grocery store and bought some really nice looking green leafy plants, 3 in all, to give some warmth and colour to my Apartment. Then I headed home for some lunch. After lunch I made arrangements with my brother to come pick me up tomorrow morning to go out and purchase the Norton Security software for another year as mine ends in a couple of days. We will also make arrangements to go and purchase the skill l training manual for treating borderline personality disorder so I can have something to follow while waiting the next 6 or 8 months to get into the programme. More bills that I really can't afford but must have. Oh well, at least I'm keeping on top of what I need to keep bettering myself! I kind of dozed on and off during the afternoon and am looking forward to maybe talking with my friend sometime later. She really made herself available to me last night when no one else was able to. Kids were either working or out and other friends from home not around either. My son surprised me this afternoon by calling out of the blue. It really made my day as we talked a lot about what's been going on in his life. He told me he is going to live at home this Fall and not live in residence as originally planned. He's going to keep his part time job at Best Buy as well. He will commute to school with friends from the Village or near by and share gas costs. We both know that his Dad, my husband, is not yet ready to be left at home alone and he and his son are really inseparable friends and always have been. He told me about getting his hunting liscence and what and where he hopes to hunt this fall. Both he and his best friend, a girl, took all the courses a month ago and are really looking forward to hunting. He is most interested right now in Wild Turkey Hunting and will be going bear hunting with a really good friend as well. He is saving to buy a couple of hunting rifles which are horribly expensive. I suggested he talk to his Dad about maybe someday building him a really nice Riffle Cabinet. I'll talk to his dad as well so maybe I can help pay for some of it. He seemed excited about having his dad make something like that for him someday. Nothing much else is planned for today or this evening but I'm in a really good place within my mind today and still am.
